In the French Resistance

In the early days of WW2 and before I officially signed up with Uncle Sam, I worked for a while with the French Resistance. I had a real good frog buddy named Phillipe Cointreau. Together we blew up a whole bunch of Kraut ammo dumps and cut a lot of their communication lines. We mostly done this at night, and during the day I disguised myself by dresssing up like a French broad and working in a saloon.

One day this Wehrmacht officer saw me and took a shine to me, I kid you not! I sort a had to go along with it, to a certain point. After he got me up in his room, I claimed to be on my monthlies and that kept him off of me. But a bunch of customers seen me go upstairs with this Kraut, and the next day a bunch of these nutcase Frog broads jumped me. Before I could say “Jack Robinson” they had shaved my head. That’s what they’d do to their women who fraternised with the Krauts. I wasn’t mad. What the Hell, they didn’t know I was undercover.

But thank God for Phillipe who carried me the hell out of there. Next stop for this soldier, the US Army! Next Previous
